The master brewers are confirmed.

When Sam Calagione opened Dogfish Head in 1995 it was the smallest commercial brewery in America making 10 gallons of beer at a time.  Today Dogfish Head is among the most recognized breweries in the country.  Dogfish Head is the first American craft brewery to focus on culinary-inspired beer recipes outside traditional beer styles and has done so since the day it opened as the motto “Off-centered ales for off-centered people” attests to. Recipes like Namaste (orange peel, orange flesh, and lemongrass), 90 Minute(continually hopped IPA), and Midas Touch (saffron, wildflower honey, and white muscat grapes) have won accolades and awards in the beer, wine, and foodie worlds.  Dogfish Head has grown into a 300+ person company with a seafood-centric restaurant alongside the original brewpub/distillery in Rehoboth Beach, a beer-themed hotel on the harbor in Lewes, and a production brewery and distillery in Milton, Delaware.  Dogfish sells beer in 31 states and spirits in the mid-Atlantic region.  Fast Company Magazine named Sam one of The 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2011 and the Wall Street Journal refers to Sam as “a pioneer of bizarre brews.”   Sam has authored four books -- his most recent “Off-Centered Leadership,” was released in 2016.  Sam lives in beautiful Lewes, Delaware, with his wife and Dogfish VP Mariah and their two children Sammy and Grier.

Brewing outdoors on the coast of Maine at the Brewers Retreat is a return home for Sam, whose brewery is named for Dogfish Head point in Southport, Maine—roughly five miles from the Spruce Point Inn.

Jason Perkins is the Brewmaster of Allagash Brewing in Portland, Maine  He was one of the first employees in the company and he has been there for the past 18 years.  Prior to that, Jason enjoyed opportunities to work at The Kettle House in Missoula Montana and Gritty McDuff's in Freeport Maine.  He began his brewing career like so many craft brewers as a homebrewer during college and the early years thereafter.  He is also a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.

Cory King is the founder and head brewer for Side Project Brewing in Maplewood, Missouri. The brewery began as a personal project co-located with Perennial Artisan Ales, where King was head brewer and designed groundbreaking beers like Abraxas and Sump imperial stouts. With Side Project, King has brewed everything from mixed-fermentation saisons to rich stouts, but every beer is either fermented or conditioned in wood (and personally brewed by King himself). In the three years of existence for Side Project, the brewery has landed numerous accolades-three beers on Beer Advocate’s top 250 beers in the world list, #8 on Rate Beer’s Top Brewers in the World for 2015, #3 on Untappd’s Top Brewers in the World (as of November 2016), and one of Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine’s top 16 beers of 2016.

Will homebrewed his first beer in 1990 and has subsequently enjoyed a twenty-four year career at CBC. In addition to his authentic interpretations of traditional beers, he crafts unique, adventuresome beers - some of which reference ancient brews of the world and others which break new ground in the art of brewing. His focus on experimentation and the development of CBC’s infamous Barrel Cellar have placed him at the forefront of America’s artisanal brewers. Away from the brewery he is an accomplished home cook, avid reader, winemaker, and sick snowboarder.

Ron Jeffries is responsible for Northern United Brewing Company’s Jolly Pumpkin line of beers brewed in Dexter, MI. He also collaborates with the North Peak family. As brewmaster, Ron’s goal is worldwide recognition as a brewer and creator of beers of outstanding art and grace, a philosopher of things beery, and an outspoken advocate of the slower, finer life. Ron began studying brewing science in 1991-ish with one eye always towards opening his own brewery. He began brewing professionally in 1995, and quickly became a well-known and respected brewer in Michigan’s emerging craft beer scene. Driven and dedicated, he progressed from brewer, to craftsman, to artist, and most recently to philosopher and visionary. Beginning to learn to step back, and decelerate the hectic pace of modern life to a slower, more livable, more enjoyable walk, he learned to smile and laugh, and was finally able to open his own brewery (Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales) in the summer of 2004. Running Jolly Pumpkin, Ron now practices the art of “Hawaiian time,” full time.

Daniel Kleban is the co-founder of Maine Beer Company.  Daniel and his brother, David, founded MBC in 2009 (it was at that time one of the nations first “nano-breweries” producing beer on a 40 gallon system).  Today, MBC employs over 35 people, produces nearly 13,000 barrels per year and distributes its beer to 15 states and the District of Columbia.

In addition to its commitment to making the best beer possible, MBC is committed to being the best environmental steward possible.  Since its founding, MBC has been a partner of 1% For The Planet and donates 1% of its gross revenue to environmental non-profits.  The brothers believe that the bottom line and environmental stewardship are not mutually exclusive ideals – they can be, and have proven to be, self-reinforcing.

Daniel is a currently serves on the board of the Brewers Association.  Daniel is also past president of the Maine Brewers Guild and currently sits on the board.

In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and six-year-old twins, Maddy and Ollie (the namesake of MO Pale Ale).  When he can, he also enjoys sneaking out for a round of golf.

At Ss Brewtech, we are all about innovation, usable features, quality, affordable prices, and top-notch customer service. We have only just begun to fundamentally change the landscape of brewing equipment for the better. We launched our business in 2013 with the Brew Bucket-—the world’s first conical-bottomed stackable stainless steel fermenting bucket. We followed this up with a solid line-up of conical fermentors ranging from 7 gallons to the ever-popular half barrel. Then came the world’s first homebrewing kettles with a built-in trub dam. And then the world’s first fully integrated homebrewing temperature control add-on system with immersion chiller coils, digital controller, and custom-tailored neoprene insulating jackets. Then we launched the world’s first all stainless infusion mash tun with a pro-style 5° sloped floor, center drain, silicone gasket seal for the false bottom, and digital thermometer. As we look toward 2016 and beyond, we plan take our business beyond home-scale gear to nano and commercial-size systems.
